The Opportunity:

Client was a wholesale distributor selling product via resellers on Amazon. Client had no meaningful Amazon / Marketplace experience, but had inventory, logistics capability to deliver the product to the end-customer, and a strategic imperative to capture additional margin on units sold through the platform.

The Sidian Solution:

Sidian designed and built a complete end-to-end solution to quickly build the client's Amazon presence and capture market share on the platform.

Tech Stack Design: Sidian team members designed an end-to-end tech stack for the Client. We leveraged external SAAS partners/platforms to quickly build a platform that allowed for transaction data/authorization flow, order flow to the client's ERP and WMS, and near real-time inventory management on the Amazon platform. This was a critical aspect of the project's success, and allowed the Client to get live on Amazon without consuming the Client's in-house development resources.

Catalog Build: We built a scalable catalog build process that allowed for the creation of a very large (100k+ SKUs) live catalog in a tight timeframe.

Customer Service Process Design: Team members built a customer service process leveraging low-cost offshore customer service reps. Design included all training materials, scripts and business rules, and escalation protocols.

Pricing: The Sidian team integrated an ai-based pricing tool into the Client's operation. This allowed for automatic and frequent repricing of products within a set of business rules, allowing the Client to take market share on the platform.

Analytics & Reporting: We designed, built, and implemented the Client's weekly reporting for Amazon and other marketplaces. Reporting included KPIs, competitive analysis, and near-term forecasting, and provided the Client's executive team with ongoing visibility re: the Amazon business unit's success.

Results:

~$15M incremental revenue run rate within 18 Months of initiating project launch.
